It all begAn with an idea.

You know the old saying: “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in your shoe.” This old Victorian rhyme was thought to be good luck for a bride on her wedding day: Each object represents something given to the bride before she walks down the aisle. We loved these traditional elements so much that we decided to weave them into our business.

After working for Dakota Party Rental for nearly a decade, we saw the potential for business growth. We loved the work and wanted to make it our own. For us, this meant doing more of what we love: Creating memorable weddings and special events for our valued customers. We wanted to build on our longstanding reputation for creativity, thoughtful planning and second-to-none customer service, so we struck out on our own and made our dream a reality. Something Borrowed was created out of our passion for serving people.

The last few years have been such a joy and we cannot wait for a new wedding and event season this year. Thank you to all of our past, present and future clients for continuing to make our dream a reality.

We look forward to serving you!
